Debbie O’Neill to depart Jules Verne after 36 years

Jules Verne Managing Director Debbie O’Neill is stepping down after more than three decades.

Debbie’s next move has not yet been announced but she said on LinkedIn she was beginning a ‘new chapter’ in the travel industry.

She first joined Jules Verne as General Manager in 1990, becoming MD in 2023, after stints at Ian Allen Travel and Pegasus Holidays as Sales Consultant.

Debbie’s departure comes amid a series of leadership and structural changes at Jules Verne parent company DERTOUR UK.

Earlier this summer, DERTOUR UK joint CEO Francis Torrilla announced his retirement, while Mark Duguid stepped down at DERTOUR UK brand Kuoni as UK Managing Director, with DERTOUR UK joint CEO Ben Boesch assuming responsibility for both roles.

Kuoni UK has also ended its partner store programme following a strategic review of its distribution and sales and closed its nine John Lewis concessions and one pop-up store.
