Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle Resort has introduced two new dining concepts as it looks to capitalise on growing demand for culinary-led travel experiences.
The all-inclusive Caribbean property, located on the southeast coast of Barbados, has opened Izakaya, a Japanese restaurant, and Tattva, which focuses on modern Indian cuisine. Izakaya will offer interactive elements, with guests able to engage directly with chefs.
The new openings form part of a wider push by the resort to enhance its culinary proposition, including the launch of its quarterly chef residency programme, The Navigator’s Table, delivered in partnership with Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. and culinary agency Best Dressed Plate. The initiative will bring Caribbean diaspora chefs to the island to showcase regional cuisine.
The hotel’s Director of Culinary Prateek Basu said: “Culinary experiences continue to play a central role when it comes to British travellers deciding where to go for their next adventure.
“The opening of our two new dining outlets demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering culinary experiences that satisfy this appetite for exciting, innovative and delicious dining options when away on holiday.”
