Meet the… new Princess Cruises Sales Manager, Business Development

Princess Cruises’ Sales Manager, Business Development Kirsty Bell-Jack took up her new trade-facing position last month after joining from sister company, Cunard. Travel Gossip found out a little more about her…

My most memorable travel experience was… travelling around the world with my best friend when we were 21. We explored amazing destinations, made lifelong memories, and somehow managed to navigate the entire trip without Google Maps. Looking back, I have no idea how we did it!

If I had a tattoo, it would be… my grandmother’s handwritten ‘Love Gran’ from one of her birthday cards. It’s the only tattoo idea that’s ever truly tempted me.

The best piece of advice I’ve been given is… always say yes to the trip. You can always earn the money back, but you can’t get the time back.

The worst thing I ate or drank abroad was… whatever gave me salmonella in Bali! To this day, I’m still playing detective trying to work out whether the culprit was a ‘gluten-free’ Mexican meal or some questionable eggs. Safe to say, neither made the holiday highlights reel.

The thing I’m most proud of is… saying yes to opportunities and figuring things out along the way. I’ve learned that most things are ‘figure-out-able’ if you’re willing to give them a go.

The famous person (dead or alive) I’d most like to sit next to on a plane is… Michelle Obama. I’d love to hear about her experiences, leadership journey, and advice on staying grounded under pressure.

The next place I’ll visit is… the Mediterranean onboard Enchanted Princess on a FAM trip, visiting Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Greece. I’m excited to experience everything Princess has to offer firsthand, explore some incredible destinations, and spend time with our amazing travel agent partners who help create unforgettable holidays for our guests every day.

The last place I visited was… Sydney, Australia for Christmas and a friend’s wedding.

My bucket-list destination is… Japan. It seems to have everything I love in a destination: amazing food, breathtaking scenery, rich history, and enough quirky experiences to keep me entertained for weeks.

Born in… Northern Ireland, and grew up in Germany, Cyprus and England…. the travel bug started young.

Live in… Southampton. After a few years living in Australia, I’ve finally done the grown-up thing and bought my first house.

If I could eat one thing/meal for the rest of my life it would be… brunch. If brunch counts as a meal category, I could happily live on it forever.

The thing I miss most while travelling is…  my own bed, and a full wardrobe never gets old.

When I left school, I wanted to be… a nanny who travelled the world, and I got to do it for a while in Paris.

In my new role, I’ll be… Sales Manager, Business Development, where I will be supporting the Princess Cruises business development team in strengthening relationships with travel agent partners across the UK.

What attracted me to the job was… the opportunity to join such an iconic brand, build on my cruise industry experience and help drive future growth.

Outside work, you’ll usually find me… spending time with the people I love, catching up on the latest reality TV drama, or convincing myself that one more skincare product is exactly what my routine is missing.

The first thing I notice about a person when I meet them is… their energy and how they interact with others.

If I won the Lottery tomorrow, I would… buy a second home by the ocean. My perfect day would start with a sunrise, a coffee overlooking the water, and a walk along the beach before everyone else is awake.
