Escorted tours specialist Titan Travel has appointed Kirsty Bachelor as its new Head of Trade Sales.
Kirsty, who started in the role this week, will lead Titan’s team of eight trade sales executives and Business Development Managers.
She replaces Shane Lewis-Riley, who joined Scenic Group as Director of Trade Sales and Partnerships in June.
Kirsty joins with 25 years’ experience in travel, including senior sales roles at HPro Travel, Monarch Travel Group and Affordable Car Hire.
Most recently, she was Director of Sales at Venture Ashore, a cruise excursion provider, where she was responsible for B2B trade sales and distribution across the UK and North America.
Titan, which operates under the Saga Travel Group, said further appointments would be announced in the coming weeks as it continues to strengthen its commitment to the travel trade.
Kirsty will report to Saga’s Chief Marketing Officer for Travel, Hannah Fisher.
Kirsty said: “Titan’s pedigree as a leading escorted tours operator is obvious and I’m excited to join the team and work with them, our agent partners, and our suppliers to build on that further.
“With 45 years of experience, and truly differentiating USPs ranging from a door-to-door airport chauffeur service to a money-back ‘Happiness Guarantee’, I’ll be using all of my experience of building positive relationships with retail travel agents, consortia and homeworking networks to ensure everyone with whom we work has what they need to sell Titan’s products effectively and maintain Titan’s position as the trade’s first choice.”
Saga Travel CEO Nigel Blanks added: “We’re very pleased to welcome Kirsty to the Titan team. She brings some exceptional strategic and sales management experience with her and we’re looking forward to seeing her continue to build on Titan’s reputation and share of the escorted tours market.”
