Nominations open for AWTE Awards 2026

The Association of Women Travel Executives (AWTE) has opened nominations for its 2026 Awards, celebrating those who are making a positive impact across the travel industry.

The awards are open to the whole industry, and neither nominees nor nominators need to be AWTE members to take part.

Nominations close on 23 October, with the winners announced at the AWTE Christmas Lunch & Awards at Church House Westminster, London on 27 November.

This year’s awards recognise excellence across six categories: Outstanding Achievement, Male Ally, Most Supportive Workplace, Community Champion, Rising Star of the Year (in partnership with ITT), and The Gillyan Shebbeare.

The Gillyan Shebbeare award celebrates an outstanding contribution to the travel industry, with the winner also able to nominate a charity of their choice to receive a donation.

Nominations will first be reviewed by the AWTE board to create a shortlist. The winners will then be chosen by an independent panel made up of ABTA Head of Membership Roberto Balasco, Audley Travel Managing Director Lisa Fitzell, Evan Evans Group Managing Director Tom Macklin and AC Group Chief Operating Officer Mafalda Teixeira.

AWTE Chair Debbie O’Neill said: “These awards are about recognising the people who make our industry better. Whether they’re early in their careers, championing others, driving positive change or inspiring those around them, we want to celebrate those who are helping shape the future of travel.”
