The Good Travel Agent has promoted Jack Bannister to Business Development Manager.
Jack joined the homeworking agency in 2024 as Agent Support Manager after working in retail travel for TUI.
In his new role, Jack’s responsibilities include driving sales growth through agent engagement and education and increasing the number of agents within the network.
He will also be tasked with deepening The Good Travel Agent’s tour operator and supplier relationships, and championing the training and development of the agent network.
Jack said: “I’m chuffed to be stepping into the Business Development Manager role. I’ve spent the last few years supporting our agents day to day, and that’s shown me exactly who thrives here: people who love travel, who look after their customers, and who want to build something that feels like their own.
“My focus now is helping more of those people find us. There’s a lot of talent out there, in high street shops and in home working setups, who’d do really well with the freedom we offer and the backing that comes with it. I want to make sure they know the door’s open.
“I’m still a travel agent at heart, and I’ll keep looking after my own customers alongside my new role. That matters to me. It keeps me honest about what agents actually need, and it means I’m not asking anyone to do something I’m not doing myself.”
The Good Travel Agent Director of Operations Kat Freeman added: “Jack has been a brilliant addition to the team since he joined us in 2024. His passion for supporting our agents, combined with the relationships he’s built industry wide, make him a fantastic fit for this role, and we’re excited to see him take it on.”
