Sandals Resorts International has confirmed it has reopened five of its Jamaica properties following the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa, which hit the island in October.
On Saturday (6 December), Sandals Dunn’s River (pictured), Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Negril and Beaches Negril opened.
Last month, Sandals confirmed that three of its properties – Sandals South Coast, Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean – would remain closed for the season and reopen on 30 May 2026.
Executive Chairman Adam Stewart said: “There’s a real sense of momentum across Jamaica right now.
“Our airports are open and welcoming flights from around the world. Tours and attractions, including the iconic Dunn’s River Falls, Negril’s famed Seven Mile Beach and Mystic Mountain for fans of Jamaican bobsledding, are all ready and waiting for you.”
