Jamaica Tourist Board has announced a series of luxury events for UK agents after being accepted into Virtuoso, a global network of high-end travel advisors.
The events will be aimed at Virtuoso’s UK members, along with other travel agents in the luxury sector.
It will host luxury webinars on 10 and 12 June and on 18 September, ‘intimate’ luxury dinners, one at the Corinthia hotel in central London on 30 September and another at The Chef’s Table in Chester on 2 December, and two luxury fam trips to Jamaica in November, with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett said Jamaica’s inclusion in Virtuoso ‘will present new sales and marketing opportunities to the network’s luxury travel advisors and their highly desirable clientele’.
“Virtuoso agencies worldwide sell an average of $35 billion annually, making the network the most significant player in luxury travel. The network’s acceptance process is incredibly selective, so becoming a preferred partner is a true honour,” he added.
Director of Tourism Donovan White said: “Jamaica’s inclusion in the Virtuoso network is a strategic advancement in our efforts to strengthen the island’s presence in the global luxury travel sector. It provides direct access to a highly qualified audience of travel advisors and clients.
“This partnership reinforces our commitment to delivering high-value, premium experiences that reflect the sophistication and depth of Jamaica’s tourism product.”
“Welcoming the Jamaica Tourist Board into the Virtuoso network is a powerful statement of the destination’s commitment to the luxury sector,” said Virtuoso Director, Alliances Javier Guillermo. “This partnership deepens the synergy between the island’s rich offerings and a strategic vision to serve high-value travellers with excellence.
“Jamaica is not only enhancing its positioning within our global community but also setting a new standard for what Caribbean luxury can look like. We’re excited to be part of this next chapter in Jamaica’s evolution.”
