Prestige Travel Canada and USA Programme Manager Denise Hunn will retire at the end of October, marking the end of a 31-year career.
Denise will step down from her full-time role, but will continue as an ambassador for the operator.
She joined Prestige in September 2009 to establish its Canada product. Prestige said the programme has grown year after year since, with the past three years its biggest ever.
Before Prestige, Denise held senior roles including Operations Manager at All Canada Travel & Holidays and General Manager at All America Holidays.
She said: “Making this decision has not been easy, far from it, but the time is right, and everyone at Prestige has nudged me to stay a little longer as an ambassador but have fully supported my decision.
“I’m so proud of our team, and I thank them and our incredible partners, suppliers and travel agents, many of whom I have worked with for years. Their support, friendship and trust have meant so much to me and have been an integral part of my career and, indeed, my life. It’s been a great honour and privilege to be part of the North America travel market for so many years.”
Managing Director Darren Hollis added: “Denise’s contribution to Prestige has been truly remarkable. She built our Canada & USA programme from the ground up and shaped it into the success it is today.
“Throughout her career, Denise has consistently demonstrated the passion for travel, deep destination knowledge and exceptional customer service that are at the heart of Prestige Travel.
“Beyond her professional achievements, Denise has been a constant source of support and encouragement to me personally and to so many across our wider team.
“As Denise begins her retirement, she leaves with our heartfelt gratitude, admiration and very best wishes for the future. The impact she has had on our business and the people around her will endure long after her retirement, and she leaves with the sincere thanks and affection of everyone who has had the pleasure of working with her.”
Denise said her replacement has been recruited, describing her as ‘hugely experienced, talented and well-known.’
She added: “I know [she] will embrace our programme with the same passion and dedication. I’m lucky to call her a friend and am very happy to be handing over to her.”
