EasyJet to launch new domestic service from Southampton

EasyJet has put on sale its first flights between Southampton and Manchester, which launch in December.

The route was previously operated by Loganair, but the Scottish carrier axed the service last month ahead of the closure of its Southampton base at the end of October.

As well as the Southampton to Manchester service, Loganair has axed its onward service between Manchester and Exeter.

Loganair will continue to operate some flights from the southern airport, but on a reduced basis.

From 4 December, EasyJet will offer two flights a week between Southampton and Manchester, on Mondays and Fridays, with one-way fares starting from less than £20.
