BA to operate Muscat-London repatriation flight

British Airways is to operate a flight from Oman in the early hours of Thursday morning to bring back customers from the Middle East.

The operator issued a statement on Tuesday afternoon (3 March) to say: “We’re aware that a number of our customers are now in Oman, where the airspace is currently open.

“Working with the relevant authorities we’ve been able to schedule a flight from Muscat to London, departing at 02:30 local time on 5 March.

“Existing customers who are in Oman can let us know they wish to travel on this flight via a dedicated phone line: +44 203 467 3854.”

The flight will be on one of BA’s 787 aircraft.

BA has cancelled flights to Amman, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, and Doha up to and including 5 March and Tel Aviv up to and including 6 March.

It urged customers not to travel to the airport unless they have a confirmed booking.
