Travelmarvel, APT Travel Group’s premium brand, has returned to the Nile with the inaugural sailing of its new purpose-built river ship, Sirius.
APT last sailed on the Nile in 2013 but stopped due to Foreign Office guidance over unrest in the region.
The launch comes as Travelmarvel’s UK and Ireland sales for Egypt have doubled year-on-year, with September sales up threefold.
Carrying 124 guests across 62 cabins, Sirius features multiple dining venues, local entertainment celebrating Egyptian culture and a spacious sun deck with a swimming pool overlooking the Nile.
Meanwhile, shore excursions are led by expert Travelmarvel Tour Directors who are fully qualified Egyptologists.
The itinerary brings together Egypt’s best known ancient sites, including Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings and Queens, Abu Simbel and Philae Temple, alongside a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Prices start from £3,295 per person for an 11-night voyage, with departure dates in October 2026 and January 2027 onwards.
In addition, all Travelmarvel Sirius sales are included in APT’s ‘Book It. Bank It’ incentive where one agent will win £1,000 in Love2Shop vouchers every week from 7 September to 4 October 2026.
APT’s Managing Director UK and Europe Paul Melinis said: “The Nile is booming again because Egypt offers travellers something few destinations can match with warm winter sunshine, a genuine sense of adventure and some of the most extraordinary history in the world. Our new ship allows them to experience it aboard what we believe is the newest and best premium ship currently sailing the Nile.
“At £3,295 per person, with Abu Simbel included rather than sold as an optional extra, we also believe this is the very best value Nile cruise programme in the market. That is a powerful proposition for agents and all sales made will qualify in the ‘Book it. Bank it’ incentive where agents can win £1,000 each week.”
