MSC Cruises unveils wellness treatments on MSC World Asia

MSC Treatment Room

MSC Cruises has lifted the lid on the wellness experiences onboard its newest flagship, MSC World Asia, ahead of its maiden voyage in four months.

At the heart of its offering is the 1,260 square metre MSC Aurea Spa, subtly inspired by Asian design and culture, which the line is billing as one of its most comprehensive spa and wellness spaces to date.

Guests will have access to a suite of advanced therapies, including cyrotherapy, infared therapy and dry float therapy, with every treatment starting with a personalised consultation.

Elsewhere on board, MSC World Asia’s ‘Thermal Area’ will feature 12 wellness experiences from a Finnish and bio sauna to a Himalayan salt room, a snow room and Japanese-inspired ganbanyoku beds.

MSC Cruises Senior Vice President Onboard Revenues George Schmickler said: “Wellness has become an increasingly important part of the travel experience, and our ambition with MSC World Asia was to create a spa that rivals the finest wellness destinations on land. By combining beautifully designed spaces, innovative therapies, advanced technologies and personalised experiences, we’ve created our most comprehensive wellness offering to date. Every aspect of the MSC Aurea Spa has been thoughtfully designed to help guests relax, recharge and leave feeling their very best.”

MSC World Asia will be officially named on 28 November in Le Havre, France, before entering service on 4 December on seven-night Mediterranean itineraries calling at Barcelona in Spain, Marseille in France, Messina, Civitavecchia and Naples in Italy and Valletta, Malta.

The wellness reveal follows June’s announcement of the ship’s major attractions including the headline outdoor feature, The Spiral @ Tree of Life, which will become the longest dry slide at sea, stretching 81.3 metres across 12 decks.
