MSC Cruises reveals more features on MSC World Asia

MSC Cruises has unveiled new images of its upcoming flagship MSC World Asia, alongside announcing major onboard attractions ahead of its debut in less than six months.

The ship’s headline outdoor feature is The Spiral @ Tree of Life, which will become the longest dry slide at sea. Stretching 81.3 metres across 12 decks and wrapping around the Tree of Life structure in the ship’s Harbour outdoor park, the slide rises nearly 10 metres above deck.

Inspired by the Supertrees of Marina Bay in Singapore, the Tree of Life will act as a landmark within The Harbour, an outdoor social space, and will operate as a focal point for evening programming with lighting and music.

Also revealed is The Cliffhanger, an over-water swing ride positioned 50 metres above the open sea. The attraction, a first for Europe, propels guests back and forth above the ocean.

Other new family attractions include Twin Racer and U Drop waterslides and the Adventure Trail high ropes course suspended above the ocean.

Indoor attractions include the Formula Racer driving simulator and the Luna Park Arena, an interactive entertainment venue featuring immersive gaming and original game shows.

Beyond the headline attractions, MSC World Asia will feature more than 40 bars, lounges and restaurants, seven pools, 13 hot tubs, and the largest range of MSC Yacht Club suite categories yet introduced by the line.

The vessel is currently under construction at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. It is the third vessel in MSC Cruises’ World Class series and will feature more than 40 bars and restaurants alongside the new entertainment facilities.

The ship will be officially named on 28 November in Le Havre, France, before entering service on 4 December on seven-night Mediterranean itineraries calling at Barcelona in Spain, Marseille in France, Messina, Civitavecchia and Naples in Italy and Valletta, Malta.
