Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced that Century Cruises’ new river ship, Century Star, will be available to tour at the 2027 RiverView conference.
The ship will feature in the new shorter ‘Lite’ option in Vienna on March 6, when agents will be welcomed onboard for informal visits.
Century Star will then join the main RiverView ship tour programme on March 8.
Delegates will be able to explore the ship, meet the onboard team, and enjoy drinks and light refreshments.
CLIA UK and Ireland Managing Director Andy Harmer said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Century Star to RiverView 2027, giving delegates across both programmes the opportunity to experience this latest exciting addition to the European river cruise sector.
“Ship visits are an incredibly important aspect of RiverView, helping agents understand the different options available and giving them the knowledge and confidence to recommend the right river cruise to their customers. We’re eagerly anticipating the trade being welcomed onboard Century Star to see everything she has to offer.”
Launched last month, Century Star is the first Asian-owned luxury river cruise newbuild purpose-designed for European waterways, accommodating 174 guests. It has been constructed using 60% recycled steel and features hybrid-electric propulsion technology.
RiverView 2027 will take place from March 5-8. The main conference will include a two-night sailing from Budapest to Vienna via Bratislava, with delegates hosted onboard AmaSofia, Riviera Radiance or VIVA TWO.
The programme will also feature business sessions in Vienna, guided ship visits, a networking trade fair and local excursions.
The new ‘Lite’ option, running from 6-8 March, offers a shorter programme based in Vienna. It includes business sessions, supplier networking, ship visits, overnight stays onboard TUI River Cruises and Avalon Waterways and lunch on Scenic.
