Club Med has confirmed that its new property in Borneo, Malaysia will open in November this year, with agents being able to book the hotel from 23 March when the brand’s winter sun 2027 sales launch.
It will be Club Med’s first large-scale, sustainably built BREEAM-certified beach resort in Asia Pacific and the group’s second Malaysian hotel, following the launch of Club Med Cherating.
The property will have 400 Superior and Deluxe rooms set within a 17-hectare beachfront location. The resort will also have an Exclusive Collection Space with 39 suites and family accommodation, a private bar, a pool and a terrace lounge.
The all-inclusive resort will include global and authentic local cuisine at The Alam, and local seafood paired with Asian specialities at The Laut alongside light bites and refreshments at resort bars.
Club Med Borneo will also offer guests over 20 activities on site including kayaking, sailing, padel, the flying trapeze and circus school and a spa.
For families, there will be kids’ clubs tailored to all age groups, including infants from four months old, a range of nature-based activities, access to the family Splash Park, and the signature ‘Amazing Family.’
The resort will also have four meeting rooms for corporate retreats, workshops or private celebrations.
BREEAM, (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s longest-established method for certifying the sustainability of buildings.
