TUI to resume some Jamaica holidays next week

TUI will operate some holidays to Jamaica from next week, after cancelling flights and packages to the island following Hurricane Melissa, which made landfall on 28 October.

The operator has cancelled holidays up to Sunday 23 November, but says some will resume next Monday (24 November).

TUI said: “Due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa to local infrastructure including hotels and roads, we have made the decision to cancel package holidays and flights up to, and including, 23 November 2025.

“We’re able to resume part of our programme to Jamaica from 24 November. Customers travelling up to and including 30th November will be notified of any impact to their booking.”

The operator said it is contacting all impacted customers directly.

It added: “We are contacting all impacted customers directly or you can call 0203 451 2688 (Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm) to discuss with a member of our team.

“If your booking is a TUI package holiday that includes flights with a partner airline such as Virgin Atlantic, please contact us on 0203 451 2688 so we can assist you further.”

Meanwhile, the MSC Group and the MSC Foundation have organised urgent relief efforts in support of the Government of Jamaica’s humanitarian response for those affected by Hurricane Melissa.

MSC Divina transported 3,360 gallons of bottled water and 264 tarpaulins last week.

The foundation is also providing ocean transport for 12 containers of relief supplies from the US and donated 14 containers to support local non-profits involved in aid efforts.

MSC Executive Chairman and Chair of the MSC Foundation Executive Committee Pierfrancesco Vago, said: “We are deeply committed to supporting the people of Jamaica as they respond to the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa. Through the coordinated delivery of essential resources with our local partners, we are working to bring relief to affected communities and provide critical supplies to those in need.”
