Lord Coe to give keynote speech at TTNG conference

The Travel Network Group (TTNG) has revealed Lord Sebastian Coe as the keynote speaker at its June conference in Bucharest.

The double-Olympic gold medalist and current President of World Athletics will speak on key themes including navigating change, building resilient teams, leading with values, and creating impact through vision and collaboration.

Lord Coe began his athletic career at 12 years old in Sheffield and went on to win  Olympic golds in the 1500 metres in Moscow in 1980, and Los Angeles in 1984. His rivalry with fellow runner Steve Ovett captured the nation’s imagination and made them household names.

After retiring from athletics in 1990, Lord Coe became a Member of Parliament and, later, a senior political advisor. He later led the bid for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, recognised as one of the most successful Olympics in modern history.

He is now President of World Athletics and a member of the International Olympic Committee.

The TTNG conference, themed Winning Hearts, Creating Journeys, will take place from 14-17 June.
