EasyJet will begin operating a new summer route between Newcastle and Rome from March this year.
First announced by aviation analyst Sean Moulton on X and since confirmed to Travel Gossip by easyJet, flights to Rome Fiumicino will start on 30 March and will operate on Mondays and Fridays until 23 October.
In November, the airline announced 16 new routes for summer 2026.
It will have three aircraft based at Newcastle, from where it will fly to more than 20 destinations.
