Co-op Travel rebrands as TravelCoop

Co-op Travel has rebranded as TravelCoop following the creation of OurCoop and the merger of three co-operative societies earlier this year.

The move brings TravelCoop, Co-op’s travel agency, closer to the wider OurCoop family, giving its more than one million members access to benefits across travel, food, energy, mobile and broadband.

TravelCoop said customers will continue to receive the same advice, holiday partners and choice, with its network of more than 69 high street branches and online operation continuing as normal.

To mark the rebrand, OurCoop members can claim an exclusive £50 holiday bonus on qualifying TravelCoop bookings, which can be used towards airport parking, airport hotels, lounge access, fast track, car hire and excursions.

Co-op Holidays, which is Co-op’s in-house tour operator, will retain its existing branding, while Personal Travel Agents and consortium partners will continue to operate as normal.

TravelCoop Chief Operating Officer, Travel Channels Claire Evans said: “This rebrand marks an exciting new chapter for our travel and reflects TravelCoop’s place within the wider OurCoop family, following the coming together of three societies.

“It gives TravelCoop a fantastic opportunity to reach more customers and members across the newly combined Society, while introducing our existing customers to the wider benefits of OurCoop membership.

“Our name may be changing, but everything our customers and members know and value about us remains the same – from our expert advice and trusted partners to our unrivalled breadth of choice.”

The new OurCoop was formed through the merger of Central Co-op, The Midcounties Co-operative and Chelmsford Star Co-op.
