Virgin Voyages revives loyalty membership carry-over scheme

Virgin Voyages is bringing back its ‘Status Match’, a loyalty offer designed to help agents convert ‘high-value and well-travelled’ clients to the adults-only cruise line.

The campaign, which previously ran from 10–28 February 2026, allows guests to carry over their loyalty status from over 35 cruise lines, airlines and hotels to join the ‘Virgin Voyages Sailing Club’.

Eligible schemes include the Platinum and Diamond tiers of Carnival’s VIFP Club, Silver and Gold status in British Airways Executive Club and Premium and VIP members of Radisson Rewards.

Membership from another travel programme can be submitted for review between 24 September and 31 October. Once approved, the booking deadline to claim ‘Virgin Voyages Sailing Club’ rewards on sailings is 31 October 2026.

Guests granted ‘Virgin Voyages Sailing Club’ status will receive ‘Blue Extras’ on their next eligible voyage, which includes one complimentary bag of laundry, one speciality coffee per day, an exclusive cocktail event invite and dedicated ‘Sailing Club Sailor Services’ support.

The benefits are available across Virgin Voyages’ full roster of sailings including the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska and West Coast America.

Agents can also earn £10 – double the usual £5 reward – on all bookings made during September and logged via First Mate Loot, while select Caribbean voyages of 10 nights or more will earn £50 per booking, 10 times the standard £5.

UK Director of Sales SJ Walker said: “Status Match gives agents a brilliant reason to start a conversation with well-travelled customers, who already enjoy loyalty benefits elsewhere, and show them what they can unlock by trying Virgin Voyages for the first time.

“With so much already included in our fare, from dining across more than 20 eateries to Wi-Fi, group fitness classes and entertainment, adding Blue Extras makes Virgin Voyages even more rewarding. We know that Virgin Voyages is a popular choice among new cruisers and that once they travel with us, they’re likely to come back. It’s a great tool for First Mates (agents) to convert new customers and build long-term repeat business.”
