Royal Caribbean is suspending more cruise calls in Labadee, Haiti, ‘out of an abundance of caution’, until at least November 2025.
Earlier this year, the line cancelled calls to the private port until August due to continued security concerns, but it is has now been extended.
According to Cruise Hive, customers have been sent a letter informing them of the changes.
The site reported the email said: “We have been monitoring the evolving situation in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and out of an abundance of caution, we’re cancelling our visits to Labadee through October 31.”
Cancellations will impact 23 sailings on five ships – Adventure of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, Icon of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas.
Freedom of the Seas will now stop in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos, instead, and Adventure of the Seas will swap out the port with Nassau, Grand Cayman or Grand Turk. Oasis of the Seas replacement ports will vary by sailing, with some itineraries also featuring a revised port order. New stops include Nassau, St Kitts, and Costa Maya.
