HX Expeditions launches 26 new itineraries for 2028/29

HX Expeditions has launched its 2028/29 programme with 26 new itineraries, including its first dedicated Scandinavia programme and new routes in Antarctica, Alaska, Greenland and Arctic Canada.

The new season features 57 voyages across 14 destinations ranging from six to 25 nights.

In Antarctica, HX has added a new 19-day ‘Antarctica & South Georgia’ expedition aboard MS Roald Amundsen.

It will also introduce departures from the Falkland Islands, with MS Fram sailing from Stanley to South Georgia and Antarctica. The new route is designed to reduce transit time and give guests more time in the destinations.

Alaska will see new eight-day ‘Inside Passage’ expeditions between Vancouver and Sitka, with five full days in Southeast Alaska. A new 17-day ‘Aleutian Islands’ voyage will also operate between Vancouver and Whittier.

In Greenland, HX is adding a seven-night roundtrip sailing from Nuuk, covering Disko Bay, Ilulissat Icefjord and visits to remote Inuit communities.

The line will also offer an 11-day version of its ‘Exploring the Garden of Greenland’ itinerary, alongside existing 15-day sailings.

HX’s first dedicated Scandinavia programme will operate aboard MS Spitsbergen, with new voyages covering Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

The 13-day ‘Sweden & Finland: Autumn in the Gulf of Bothnia’ will mark HX’s first voyages into the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Bothnia.

The programme also includes a 10-day ‘Southern Scandinavia’ itinerary and a 14-day ‘Norway Cape to Cape’ voyage.

In Arctic Canada, HX will launch a 19-day ‘Baffin Island’ circumnavigation including the Northwest Passage and an attempt to transit the ‘Fury and Hecla Strait’.

The 2028/29 programme also includes nine new Ocean Crossing voyages across the Atlantic and Pacific.

HX will operate 23 Svalbard departures during 2028, its largest-ever programme in the archipelago.

The season will also continue HX’s year-round Galápagos programme aboard Santa Cruz II.
