G Adventures has launched three new flexible booking options aimed at giving travellers more protection if plans change.
The ‘Stay Flexy Adventure Plans’ offer three different levels of cancellation flexibility, with the higher tiers adding future travel credits and pre-departure perks.
G Adventures said the options give agents another tool to overcome hesitation at the point of booking.
The flexible plans are commissionable at the same rate as the tour and are non-refundable.
‘Flexy’ offers a full refund for cancellations more than 60 days before departure, with the lifetime deposit retained on file. From 59–30 days, up to 50% of the tour value can be refunded.
‘Flexier’ extends protection, with cancellations between 29 and 21 days resulting in the traveller’s money being protected through a lifetime deposit and future travel credit. It also includes a 1GB travel eSIM, up to $500 lost luggage cover and priority service.
‘Flexiest’ offers the highest level of protection, with traveller funds protected through a combination of refund, lifetime deposit and future travel credit until five days before departure. It also includes a 3GB eSIM and up to $1,000 lost luggage cover.
G Adventures Managing Director EMEA Brian Young said: “Booking an adventure should be exciting, not daunting, and these new flexible booking options provide agents with another tool to help turn ‘I’m thinking about it’ into ‘I’m booking it’.
“That final moment of hesitation is often driven by uncertainty, rather than a lack of desire to travel. Flex helps remove that uncertainty and offers travellers peace of mind when they lock in their adventure.
“Flex is commissioned at the same rate as the tour itself and is non-refundable, meaning commission is protected, making it a great earning opportunity for our agent partners.
“Trip add-ons, such as pre or post nights or transfers, added at a later date, are also automatically protected by an existing flexible booking option at no extra cost. It’s designed to be a genuinely useful product for agents, not another thing to explain at the point of sale.”
