American Cruise Lines will operate 12 different itineraries on five riverboats along the Mississippi and its tributaries this year.
New 2025 itineraries include a 12-day ‘Mississippi Explorer Cruise’ from Memphis to New Orleans, and several exclusive itineraries on the Tennessee, Cumberland and Ohio rivers, including a new 16-day ‘Grand Ohio River Cruise’ from Pittsburgh to St Louis.
The 2025 Mississippi programme also includes two of the longest US river cruises on the market, the new 51-day ‘Great United States’ and the 36-day ‘Civil War Battlefields Cruise’, both of which sail the entire Mississippi or major sections of the river in addition to other US waterways.
American Cruise Lines’ Mississippi season officially opens on 21 February, when American Serenade sails a nine-day ‘Lower Mississippi River Cruise’ from New Orleans to Memphis.
Prices start from £2,927 per person for an eight-day ‘Historic Mississippi River Cruise’ round trip from New Orleans on 23 November 2025. The price includes all meals and drinks, gratuities, port fees, onboard enrichment and entertainment, shore excursions and wi-fi.
