Virgin Atlantic has launched an app within ChatGPT, which will allow customers to search for flights using ‘everyday language’ such as ‘flights to the Caribbean in February’ or ‘show me flights in Premium to Los Angeles next month.’
The carrier claims to be ‘the first airline in the world to launch an app within ChatGPT’. Once a customer has found a Virgin Atlantic flight in ChatGPT, they are directed to Virgin Atlantic’s website or mobile app to complete their booking.
Virgin Atlantic Chief Customer Officer Juha Jaervinen said: “We’re proud to be the first airline in the world to launch an app in ChatGPT, as we continue to focus on meeting our customers where they are and making it easier than ever to connect with us.
“Whether you know exactly where you want to go or you’re just looking for inspiration, this experience is designed to make planning and booking your next trip simple and seamless. You can simply ask, and we’ll do the rest, showing the best options quickly.
“By combining the power of AI with the personality and care we’re known for, we’re creating experiences that feel more personal, more intuitive and unmistakably Virgin Atlantic.”
The airline has also recently launched an AI-powered Concierge service and a new Virgin Atlantic app.
