Travel job placements hit five-month high

The number of candidates being placed in new travel jobs jumped to a five-month high last month, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment.

There was a 28% rise in candidates being placed into travel jobs compared to the previous year. March’s total was the third highest total in the past two years and the equal highest total since last April.

However, the number of candidates searching for new jobs last month was down 19% compared to both the previous month and March 2024.

The number of new travel jobs created also dipped, with figures dropping by 24% compared to February 2025 and 16% compared to the same month last year.

C&M Managing Director Barbara Kolosinska said: “With another increase in March, job placements in the travel industry have now risen in three of the last four months, which is excellent to see.

“Perhaps more importantly, placements have only fallen year-on-year once in the past seven months, so we appear to be gaining some momentum as we head into spring.

“Last month’s dip in candidates and vacancies is disappointing, but April appears to be a much better month for new job seekers, so hopefully this will convert into further strong placement figures in the months ahead.”
