Norwegian launches Glasgow–Tromso flights for winter 2026

Norwegian will launch a new direct service between Glasgow Airport and Tromso in northern Norway for winter 2026/27.

The twice-weekly route will start on 11 December 2026 and run until 22 March 2027, with tickets on sale now.

Flights are timed for long weekends and longer stays, with departures from Glasgow at 17:55 on Mondays and 13:55 on Fridays.

The airline said its is responding to growing demand from Scottish travellers for Arctic winter experiences, including Northern Lights viewing and whale watching.

Chris Tibbett, Executive Director of Glasgow Airport operator AGS Airports Group said: “We are delighted to welcome Norwegian’s new direct service between Glasgow and Tromso, further strengthening Scotland’s connectivity with Norway and opening up exciting new travel opportunities for our passengers.

“Tromso has become one of Europe’s most sought-after winter destinations, renowned for its spectacular Arctic landscapes, Northern Lights experiences and unique outdoor adventures. This new route will make it easier than ever for travellers from across Scotland to experience everything the region has to offer.”
