Destination St John’s is hoping to strengthen its UK presence with the trade following the appointment of sales and marketing agency, LC Marketing Plus Ltd.
The aim of the new partnership is to build trade relationships and increase awareness of the Canadian city and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. This is the first time it has had UK representation since pre-COVID.
It will also focus on WestJet’s direct seasonal flights between St John’s and London Gatwick and Dublin, which resume at the end of April 2025 until October 2025.
LC Marketing Plus Ltd is headed up by Business Development Managers Lisa Chamberlain and Della Tully.
The pair will be looking at growing relationships with UK operators and agents, developing training programmes and offering promotions for the trade.
They will also be taking part in the Travel Gossip Canada Takeover Roadshows in Belfast on 3 April and in York on 7 May.
Destination St John’s CEO Paul Bugge said: “By partnering with LC Marketing Plus Ltd, we are taking a strategic approach to increasing awareness, building key industry relationships, and driving visitation to St John’s.
“This initiative aligns with our broader commitment to supporting sustainable air access and growing our tourism sector in a meaningful way. We look forward to working with Della and Lisa to showcase the unique experiences our city and province have to offer.”
