TV presenter Davina McCall made a surprise appearance at Hays Travel’s retail conference on Wednesday night, turning up as a guest judge for the agency’s karaoke evening.
Agents and suppliers were shocked when Davina was unmasked during the blue and orange-themed night and took her place on the panel to rate performances.
In April this year she signed up as a brand ambassador and ‘face’ of Hays Travel, featuring in a TV advert and on promotional material in branches, as well as appearing on the company’s website and social media channels.
Davina is joining delegates again today (Thursday) for the final day of the conference and the gala dinner at the Aldemar Olympian Village hotel in Greece.
Speaking to the attendees, she said: “I looked around when I arrived and I thought how lucky I am to be here.
“I just want to say thank you for this partnership, because I love what you do at Hays Travel and the atmosphere you foster.”
