Celestyal is inviting 40 agents on a fam trip as it launches its 2028 Mediterranean programme, with the new summer schedule going on sale this Friday (4 September).
As well as the fam trip, which will sail from Tarragona in Spain on 5 December, Celestyal will introduce a trade incentive, where agents will be paid per booking, with more details to be announced shortly.
With both of Celestyal’s ships now positioned in the Mediterranean at least until the end of summer 2028, Director of Retail and UK Partnerships Dan Buckingham told trade media that the line is exploring how to introduce ‘continual ship tours and ship visits’ that it has not previously been able to offer agents.
The cruise line has unveiled 124 sailings for summer 2028, covering Greece, the Adriatic and the wider Mediterranean, with voyages ranging from three to 14 nights.
Celestyal Journey will operate seven- and 14-night cruises from Athens, including the seven-night ‘Heavenly Greece, Italy & Croatia’, from £719pp, and ‘Idyllic Greece’, also from £719pp.
The 14-night ‘Mediterranean Icons’ combines the two itineraries, with fares from £1,289pp.
Celestyal Discovery will operate shorter three- and four-night ‘Iconic Greek Islands’ sailings from Athens, with prices starting from £419pp and £529pp respectively.
All fares include meals, soft drinks, wifi, port fees and gratuities.
The line has also added seven new winter 2027/28 sailings aboard Celestyal Journey, available to book from today (1 September), which include 14 maiden calls across Spain, Portugal, Morocco, France and Italy.
These include four seven-night ‘Mediterranean Mosaics’ cruises between Athens and Istanbul, with consecutive sailings able to be combined into 14-night ‘Three Continents Explorer’ voyages.
The wider winter programme includes calls in Egypt, Cyprus, Greece and Turkiye, with prices from £629pp for the seven-night sailings and £1,099pp for the 14-night cruises.
Celestyal has also launched an ‘Uncrowded, Unforgettable, Authentically Med’ winter campaign, running until 2 November, promoting its Western Med winter 2026/207 programme, which was announced six weeks ago and is already 50% booked, according to the line.
The line cancelled its Gulf sailings in May this year and was unable to operate for some time as its entire fleet became trapped due to the Middle East conflict, but it said it ‘would not rule out’ returning to the Gulf at some point in the future, after summer 2028.
Vice President of Marketing, PR and Customer Experience Janet Parton said: “Our recently unveiled Western Mediterranean programme on Celestyal Discovery marked an exciting new chapter for the brand, and this new winter season on Celestyal Journey continues that momentum by offering even more choice across the wider Mediterranean.
“We also know how fondly many guests remember our ‘Three Continents’ sailings, so we’re delighted to bring them back in a refreshed format. The opportunity to experience Europe, Asia and Africa in a single holiday is incredibly special, while the choice of seven- or 14-night voyages gives guests the flexibility to explore in a way that suits them.
“Combining celebrated cities with a diverse mix of culture, history and cuisine, these destination-rich itineraries are exactly the kind of immersive journeys Celestyal does best.”
