Barrhead Travel has confirmed it will continue its expansion in Northern Ireland with a new store set to open before the end of the summer.
The agency has not yet revealed the location of its third shop in the country, but it is currently finalising recruitment.
Barrhead said its Newtownabbey branch, which opened in 2024, hit its target for the year within its first three months, and has taken on an additional full-time travel consultant to meet demand.
Barrhead Travel Managing Director Nicki Tempest-Mitchell said it is now open to hearing from travel professionals in Northern Ireland who think a Barrhead Travel store could work in their area.
“We see huge potential for growing our retail footprint in Northern Ireland,” she said. “We’re finding that customers are very keen to book with reputable travel agents and the local demand for holidays is high.
“Growth in regional uplift, as well as great connections to the US from Dublin, means that there is even more travel variety now available for Northern Irish holidaymakers and our teams have the opportunity to create bespoke trips for their customers.”
Barrhead Travel first expanded into Northern Ireland in 2017, with the opening of its Belfast store in Victoria Square shopping centre.
