Seaside Travel has partnered with Jet2holidays to run a radio campaign on Smooth Radio to push summer 2025 holidays, including free child places.
The agency’s Head of Business and Commercial Paula Gleeson told Travel Gossip the campaign will start on 7 July and will run for a month.
Paula said: “Lates and ‘late lates’ have gone through the roof, but there is a lot of availability left and Jet2holidays has added more free child places for summer. We’re running a radio campaign with them starting next week, with the free child places a big focus.
“It’s the first time we’ve done a radio campaign and we suggested it during a meeting that we had with Jet2holidays when they asked us for new ideas.
“A couple of radio stations had recently approached (owner and Director) Nicola (Park) and asked if we had ever thought about it, so we though ‘why not try it’ as we’re always trying to look for new marketing opportunities.”
“Jet2holidays’ response was brilliant. We all have a great relationship with them, especially Nicola and we do put a lot of business their way through our 13 shops.”
Seaside has come up with a new slogan: ‘Think travel, think Seaside Travel’, and the radio campaign will encourage customers to phone their local Seaside branch, quoting the tag line, for the chance to win prizes such as a Seaside Holidays gift voucher.
Paula said: “The campaign will go out across all the Smooth channels and will reach the areas covered by all our shops. We’ll have our Alexas tuned in to Smooth Radio in all our branches.”
