Members of Hays Travel’s senior team, including owner and Chair Dame Irene Hays, went back to the floor this week to support colleagues during Peaks.
Directors and divisional and regional sales managers who worked in branches across the UK on Thursday (8 January), included Retail Director Jane Schumm, who spent the day in Burnley; Commercial Director Tricia Birmingham, who visited Warrington Birchwood; Head of Retail Paula Barrett, who joined the team in Dundee; Head of Sales Tanya Cooper, who went to Irvine and Head of Customer Experience Sue Bradley, who visited Peterborough.

Dame Irene Hays also joined Bexleyheath Branch Manager Katrina Pike (pictured, above) and staff in the branch.
Dame Irene said: “Going back to the floor is always something our senior team looks forward to as it gives us a chance to spend time with our colleagues in branch who do an exceptional job all year round.
“It allows us to hear feedback from our people and our customers first hand and take some new ideas and suggestions back to head office.”
Katrina added: “It was lovely to welcome Dame Irene into our branch. It was very busy in store on the day, and she was really keen to speak to us and our customers about how we can improve as a business.”

Jane said: “I had a fabulous time during this year’s back to the floor day. It was fantastic to visit our Burnley branch, which only opened at the end of last year, and see the excellent customer service offered by manager Natalie Lowcock and her team.
“I know everyone who spent the day in a store was pushed hard and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.”
