Royal Caribbean expands Asia-Pacific programme

Royal Caribbean has expanded its Asia-Pacific programme for 2027-28, adding new itineraries from Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.

The cruise line said the enhanced programme will offer more opportunities for guests to explore destinations across the region, including Southeast Asia, Japan and the South Pacific.

The biggest change for Australia is the addition of Ovation of the Seas, which will join Anthem of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas for the 2027-28 summer season.

Ovation will sail from Brisbane from November 2027, offering cruises of between three and eight nights. The ship will feature a revamped pool deck, new dining venues including Izumi Teppanyaki and Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, and a new late-night venue called Sound Cellar.

The ship will also operate two four-night Whitsundays cruises calling at Airlie Beach.

Voyager of the Seas will sail from Brisbane and Sydney between October and December 2027, offering cruises ranging from two to 11 nights. Itineraries include South Pacific sailings to Vanuatu and New Caledonia, as well as a series of new New Zealand cruises from Sydney, including a 10-night Christmas sailing.

From January to April 2028, Voyager will reposition to Asia, operating cruises from Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

The ship will sail a five-night voyage from Singapore to Hong Kong, as well as four- and five-night cruises from Hong Kong to destinations including Ishigaki and Okinawa in Japan, Taipei in Taiwan, and Hue/Danang in Vietnam.

Voyager will also operate four cruises from Tokyo timed to coincide with Japan’s cherry blossom season. The 10- to 12-night itineraries will call at destinations including Osaka, Nagasaki, Kobe and Shimizu, the gateway to Mount Fuji.

Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean has extended Navigator of the Seas’ inaugural Singapore deployment, allowing the ship to remain in the region year-round from October 2026 until October 2027.

Navigator will sail two- to five-night cruises to destinations in Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, as well as a 12-night sailing from Tokyo to Singapore.

Bookings for Ovation of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas open on 18 August, while Voyager of the Seas sailings go on sale on 25 August.
