G Adventures relaunches Arctic expeditions

G Adventures has doubled its small-ship Polar expedition cruise portfolio with the announcement it is returning to the Arctic for the first time since 2019.

Four new Arctic itineraries, totalling 10 departures, are now available to book and the adventure operator will launch more expeditions across the Arctic Circle and the Scottish Isles in the coming weeks.

Sailings will take place on a new 128-passenger ship chartered by G Adventures through expedition ship operator SunStone. It will sail in Antarctica from October 2025, before journeying north to Europe and the Arctic next spring.

G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip said: “This is huge news for us. Our travellers and agent partners have been asking when we will return to the Arctic and I’m delighted to say the time is now!

“We’ve been leading the way in small-ship expeditions for over 25 years and, in true G style, we’re not only going back – we’re going beyond – with the addition of completely new itineraries, packed with wildlife and natural history.

“These feature some of the most dramatic and beautiful coastlines around the Scottish coastline, resulting in our most comprehensive and varied expedition programme in G Adventures’ history.

“Our Expedition product has always been a huge selling opportunity for agents, as more travellers seek the advice of travel experts when journeying to these remote parts of the world.

“My advice to agents would be to ‘get on board’ – there’s a lot more pie to go around with this new product coming to market, and our teams are poised and ready to work hand-in-hand with agents to help them get a slice of that pie.”

New Arctic itineraries include an eight-day ‘Realm of the Polar Bear’ from £4,199 per person, with departures from June 2026 and a 15-day ‘Arctic Highlights’, from £7,549pp, with departures from August 2026.

Five Antarctica cruises are also on sale. They include an 11-day ‘Antarctica Classic’ cruise, from £8,399pp, with departures from November 2025 and a 21-day ‘Spirit of Shackleton’ cruise, from £17,899pp, with departures from January 2026.

Prices do not include flights.
