Windstar has announced it will be offering a second eclipse cruise for August 2026 after its first sold out.
The sailing will take place on Wind Spirit, from Rome to Barcelona on 6 August 2026 on a seven-night ‘Mediterranean Sunset Eclipse’ cruise.
The first solar eclipse cruise, on Star Pride around Iceland has already sold out.
On 12 August, the day of the eclipse, Wind Spirit will be north of Mallorca to have a clear view of the horizon for viewing of the eclipse, weather permitting. There will be an eclipse watch party on deck and eclipse glasses will be provided.
Windstar Director of Destination Experiences and Itinerary Planning Jess Peterson said: “Our first cruise to coincide with the 2026 eclipse in Iceland sold out quickly. We then looked at our deployment plans to see what other ships we had nearby the path of totality and the Wind Spirit made sense.”
