Virgin Atlantic expands WestJet codeshare ahead of Toronto launch

Virgin Atlantic has expanded its codeshare with WestJet.

The agreement will start on 30 March 2025, the day Virgin launches its new route between Heathrow and Toronto Pearson International airports.

The first phase will allow Virgin Atlantic customers to connect from a WestJet flight via Toronto onwards to London.

Connecting cities on the WestJet network include Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Ottawa.

The airlines will be co-located at Toronto Pearson Terminal 3 and customers will be able to transfer through the airport without having to collect and re-check their baggage to their final destination.

Loyalty partnership programme benefits across both Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and WestJet Rewards are expected to roll out later in the year.

The Toronto route signifies a return to Canada by Virgin after more than 10 years. Tickets went on sale this week.
