Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL)’s order for four new ships has been confirmed with shipbuilding company Fincantieri.
Parent company Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings announced in April 2024 it had signed a letter of intent for the new ships for NCL, and this has now become a firm order worth more than €2 billion.
The ships will be NCL’s biggest to date with 5,100 berths, accommodating over 8,300 people, including crew.
They will be built at Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard, with the first delivered in 2030. The others will follow in 2032, 2034, and 2036.
Fincantieri has already built two Prima-class ships for NCL, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva.
It will deliver NCL’s newest ship and the first in its Prima Plus-class, Norwegian Aqua, in the next few months.
