Shearings has added a collection called ‘Set-cations’ to its Direct-Route Mini-Breaks programme, with six itineraries available to book.
The six new tours, which are all three-day trips, are themed around popular TV programmes.
Two of the new tours are themed around soaps: ‘Coronation Street ‘Meet a Star’ Experience’, from £279 per person and ‘Behind the Scenes at Coronation Street and Emmerdale’, also from £279pp.
‘Vera’s Northumberland Tour: Step into the Drama’ is the cheapest ‘Set-cation’ Direct-Route Mini-Break, with prices from £199pp.
Other new tours include ‘Discovering Darrowby: All Creatures Great and Small’, from £219pp; ‘Dearest Gentle Reader: Let’s Tour Bridgerton’s Bath’, from £249pp; and ‘Agatha Christie Tour: Experience the English Riviera’, from £219pp.
All breaks include a hotel stay and are fully escorted, with knowledgeable, experienced drivers.
Shearings’ Head of Retail Sales Ashley Dellow said: “The hassle-free, direct-route breaks offer behind-the-scenes glimpses of life on set, as well as an insight into the filmmaking experience.
“Agents would do well to chat to customers about their favourite TV programmes and they could secure an easy sale. Agents can request ‘Set-cations’ social media assets from me to help promote the tours and draw in the fans.”
