Riviera Travel launches five new itineraries for solo travellers

Riviera Travel has added five new itineraries for solo travellers for 2026; four in Italy and one in Cyprus.

New itineraries include an eight-day trip through Puglia and Basilicata, with stops in Lecce, Alberobello, Matera and Bari.

There’s also a six-day ‘Hidden Italy: Padua, Vicenza and Mantua for Solo Travellers’ tour and an eight-day ‘Discover Northern Cyprus for Solo Travellers’ itinerary.

The new options have been added following an increase in the number of solo passengers travelling with Riviera year-on-year.

Findngs from a survey conducted by Riviera Travel show that solo breaks are particularly popular with those aged between 50 and 80 years, with female solo travellers making up 80% of the bookings.

Head of Trade & Partnerships Vicky Billing said: “We have seen a much higher demand for solo travellers this year, which is great, and to support the trade even further, we now pay commission on solo supplements across all our classic tour products.

“It’s important that we recognise all the hard work that our trade partners put into selling our solo product, hence the rationale around paying on all non-commissionable items.”
