RIU Hotels & Resorts has opened its first hotel in Canada.
The Riu Plaza Toronto is located in the city’s Entertainment District and has 352 rooms.
The four-star property covers 23 floors of a 49-storey skyscraper and facilities include a lobby bar, restaurant, a 24-hour gym and conference facilities for 40 people.
It is located close to several of the city’s attractions, including the Princess of Wales Theatre, David Pecaut Square, Rogers Centre Stadium and the CN Tower.
The hotel is the 12th in the company’s urban line, joining properties in Panama, Guadalajara, Madrid, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Berlin, London and Dublin.
