Canada’s year-round luxury alpine resort, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Alberta, will open a thermal spa in the next few months.
The eco-friendly spa, called Basin Glacial Waters, will offer a ‘contemporary thermal wellness experience… rooted in the healing powers of hydrotherapy’. It is part of bigger renovation at the resort, which includes upgrades to guest rooms.
The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park is a popular resort for UK visitors and is sold through trade-facing brands including Inghams, North America Travel Service and Audley Travel.
The new spa will open later this summer or in early autumn and will be exclusively available to overnight guests at the resort.
Meanwhile, in nearby Canmore, two spa experiences are due to open.
Everwild, Canmore’s first Nordic spa, will open in November, as and outdoor spa part of Basecamp Resorts’ MTN House luxury hotel.
After that, the 45-room boutique Alexander Spa Hotel, in Spring Creek, Canmore, which will connect to the existing Malcolm Hotel, will open in 2026.
