Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has opened The Gantry at LC-39, an observation tower giving 360-degree views of the space agency’s active launch pads.
The new attraction features a theatre show, a gallery and space for guests to design and virtually launch rockets. It is included as part of the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour.
Other features include an LED screen displaying media content and an experience where guests can stand under a full-scale rocket engine as it simulates a static fire test.
Chief Operating Officer Therrin Protze said: “The Gantry at LC-39 marks a bold step forward in our mission to spark curiosity and foster learning among the next generation of explorers.
“Located at the historic launch complex where Apollo and Shuttle missions once lifted off, this new attraction blends powerful storytelling, interactive technology, and NASA’s ongoing Earth science research to create a memorable connection to the past, present, and future of space exploration.”
