Fred. Holidays launches new European Touring and Rail brochure

Fred. Holidays has unveiled its 2026/27 European Touring & Rail brochure as demand for rail and European travel continues to surge.

Touring and rail is now the operator’s top-performing category, with bookings up 10% year-on-year. Switzerland is its standout destination, up 62%, followed by Italy at 18%. Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Baltics are also performing well.

The new 96-page programme features an expanded range of rail journeys, no-fly options and special interest tours including Christmas markets, heritage trips and guided World War I and II battlefield itineraries.

The operator said the programme gives agents more scope to sell flexible, experience-led European touring holidays, with prices starting from £359 per person.

New itineraries include Amsterdam and the Dutch bulb fields by rail, a D-Day landing beaches tour, and a Scandinavia to Baltics journey, alongside core products such as the Glacier Express and Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.

Head of Tour Operations Simon Sharpe said the growth reflects demand for ‘richer experiences, seamless journeys and more sustainable ways to travel’.

He added: “Our new 2026/27 brochure reflects that demand with an exciting mix of classic favourites, new special interest tours, no-fly holidays and emerging destinations across Europe.”
