Jules Verne has expanded its Central Asia programme with the launch of two new Tajikistan itineraries.
The small group escorted tour operator has introduced a seven-night ‘Tajikistan Highlights’ tour alongside a longer 13-night ‘Tajikistan & Uzbekistan Highlights’ itinerary, designed to tap into growing interest in off-the-beaten-track destinations.
Previously, Tajikistan featured only as part of the operator’s longer 25-night Silk Road programme. Jules Verne said the new tours provide a more accessible entry point for clients seeking emerging destinations.Â
The launch gives agents new options to package Central Asia, particularly for those looking for culturally immersive touring experiences in small groups of around 15 travellers.Â
The combined Tajikistan and Uzbekistan itinerary builds on the popularity of the operator’s existing Uzbekistan product, adding a week in Tajikistan before continuing on to key Silk Road cities in Uzbekistan.
Managing Director Debbie O’Neill said the move reflects demand for more unusual, enriching experience-led travel.
The seven-night Tajikistan Highlights itinerary includes visits to the capital Dushanbe, the ancient city of Khujand and the UNESCO-listed Sarazm archaeological site, alongside the Marguzor Lakes in the Fann Mountains. Prices start from £1,095 per person, with departures scheduled in September and October 2026 as well as March, April, May, June, September and October 2027.Â
The longer 13-night Tajikistan & Uzbekistan Highlights tour starts in Dushanbe before continuing into Uzbekistan, taking in key destinations including Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand. Experiences include visiting traditional architecture, historic Silk Road sites and local cultural encounters. Prices start from £2,395pp, with departures in October 2026 and throughout 2027 from March.
Both itineraries include accommodation, selected meals, guided touring and the services of local representatives.
