Jules Verne adds Algeria to 2026 programme

Small group escorted tour operator Jules Verne has expanded its programme, with two tours to the newly added destination of Algeria.

An eight-night ‘Highlights of Algeria’ tour includes village visits, exploring the country’s Roman heritage in the coastal towns of Tipaza and Cherchell, and visiting Setif and the capital Algiers. Prices start at £1,895 per person.

A 12-night ‘Grand Tour of Algeria’ takes in Algiers’ UNESCO‑listed Casbah, the Saharan oasis of Timimoun, a 4×4 safari into the desertscapes of the Petit Tassili, the bridges of Constantine and Algeria’s Roman heritage in Tipaza, Timgad and Djemila. Prices start at £2,895pp.

Tour prices include breakfast, accommodation, some other meals and guides, but not flights.

Managing Director Debbie O’Neill said: “Still a relatively undiscovered destination, Algeria’s rich culture, fascinating history and breathtaking landscapes make it a standout choice for customers seeking a culturally immersive, unique and memorable travel experience away from the crowds.”
