Selar and Galaxy Expeditions have become the newest members of Expedition Cruise Network (ECN).
Selar, a new French expedition line, will launch its 36-passenger ship Captain Arctic, in 2026. The ‘close-to-zero’ ship will be solar powered, with five 35-meter-high sails covered in 20,000 square feet of solar panels.
Galaxy Expeditions has a fleet of catamarans, specialised dive vessels and yachts that sail in Latin America, accommodating up to a maximum of 16 passengers.
ECN CEO and co-founder Akvile Marozaite said: “We are delighted to welcome both Selar and Galaxy Expeditions to the Expedition Cruise Network.
“Selar brings innovative experiences to the network that truly highlight the sustainable and technological advancements in the expedition industry, while Galaxy Expeditions is a true advocate for unique and authentic experiences across Latin America. They are both incredible additions to the network.”
At the end of last year, ECN introduced Bark Europa as a member. The cruise line operates a three-masted tall ship, originally built in 1911, offering sailings around Antarctica, Cape Horn, and the Pacific.
