Contiki has expanded its Africa portfolio with the launch of three new trips and an updated version of another tour.
The new trips include a six-day ‘Kenya Adventure’ tour, visiting three of Kenya’s national parks and a trip to a Maasai village, and optional experiences such as mountain biking through villages, white-wafter rafting, ziplining, archery and a hot air balloon safari.
A six-day ‘Tanzania Adventure’ visits the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and game drives, with optional experiences including treetop walks, cultural village visits, and a night safari for the rare opportunity to see big cats in action after dark.
The other new itinerary is an 11-day ‘Kenya and Tanzania Adventure’ tour.
Contiki has also introduced a new version of its ‘Cape, Safari & Falls’ itinerary to include the Bushfire Festival – one of Africa’s most celebrated music events.
So far this year, the operator has seen a 46% increase in bookings to Kruger and Eswatini and an 11% rise in bookings to Tanzania compared to 2024.
Continki Managing Director EMEA Kelly Jackson said: “Safaris are high on the wish list for many young travellers, but the cost can often be a barrier. With these new itineraries, our goal was to deliver the iconic safari experience, complete with all the highlights at a much more accessible price point. We’re proud to say we’ve done just that.”
