Audley Travel has added tours to off-the-beaten-track regions of Japan, Italy and New Zealand for 2025.
The new additions include Toyama, part of Japan’s ‘Golden Route’, but less visited. It is combined in an 11-day trip that also takes in the cities of Tokyo, Matsumoto and Kyoto and the villages Gokayama and Kaminashi.
Two tours have been added in Italy, including a 10-day itinerary in the Dolomites, including activities around the Sella Massive region, plus an overnight stay in Bolzano.
Also in Italy, Audley has created a new VIP six-day itinerary focusing on the Verona Opera Festival, which takes place between June and September.
In New Zealand the operator has added a new hiking trail to its portfolio. The Hump Ridge Track, which opened in October, is a three-day loop walk in the South Island and takes hikers through a part of Fjordland not normally visited by tourists.
Head of Product Alex Bentley said: “Taking inspiration from client requests, these new and ultra-authentic experiences in Italy, Japan and New Zealand have seen our destination experts pulling on their deep knowledge of their specialist countries. As well as exploring away from the crowds, offering something truly authentic can also mean having exclusive access or experiences that very few others get to see – the Verona Opera Festival itinerary delivers exactly this as it is limited to a very small number of visitors.”
